TRANSLATOR/TEACHER Braintree Community Centre is seeking an English/Ukrainian speaker to teach visitors from Ukraine English language skills. The centre is a warm, modern building in the centre of Braintree, with plentiful facilities and a happy staff of paid and volunteer members. Ideally with some teaching experience, we need someone who can attend the Centre on Friday mornings (1 hour once a month and two hours all other Fridays) and Wednesday evenings (1.5 hours). The centre is urgently seeking an additional member of staff, who will work on Wednesday and Thursday evening each week, a total of about 6 hours. The job involves both welcoming users to the Centre and carrying out some specific administrative tasks. Occasional Saturdays may be needed as well. Update 17th October – We have now filled the Administrator postition, but are still looking for a Steward Adminstrator The Centre is looking for a part time administrator for one or two sessions a week, with the option of additional sessions in the future.  At least one session will be an evening session. The person needs to be friendly, helpful, have some computing skills and some flexibility as to when they can work.
