Room & Hall Hire

We have a variety of rooms available for hire, so whether you need to hold a group meeting for 70 people or a children’s birthday party, just the once or every week all year, we can help.

Our attractive and recently refurbished centre offers a high standard of rooms – they are safe, clean and warm (or cool in summer) and we have a large kitchen as well as parking.

The Centre is staffed, so there’s nearly always someone to help if you have a problem.

We offer use of our modern kitchen facilities – including oven, microwave and fridge with a serving hatch through to the hall – and we can also help you arrange caterers if required. We have an automatic plumbed-in urn which can dispense hot water for up to 400 hot drinks per hour – enough to keep even the biggest of groups happy!

There is full access to properly equipped disabled toilets.

We have plenty of comfortable seats and free wi-fi on request, plus we have various pieces of equipment available – a screen for PowerPoint presentations (or slide shows), irons for craft groups, art books and so on.

We have a Hall and several other rooms of varying sizes for hire by the hour or day. Please contact us if you would like to know more, or to arrange to come and see the spaces available.

Preparation time:

All bookings include a free short period of setup and clearing away time. The length of this free period will vary depending on the length and type of booking (subject to availability and other bookings).

 

Deposits:

A booking deposit is payable of up to 50% of the total amount. Dates cannot be held for longer than 30 days unless the agreed deposit is paid to secure the booking.

A damage deposit will be required for special functions:

– £200 for dances or parties

– £50 for a children’s party (no longer than 2 hours)

Deposits are required to cover costs in case of damage, extra cleaning required, additional staff cover, waste removal or cancellations, but will otherwise be fully refunded.

 

Solus Booking (not applicable to Hall bookings):

Where a booking is the only one in the Centre at any time, there will be a minimum charge of £30 for the first hour. Subsequent hours will be at the normal rate (does not apply to Hall bookings of at least 1.5 hours).

If another booking is subsequently made in the Centre at the same time, the charge will revert to the standard rate.

 

Affiliation:

Once you have been regularly hiring for 6 months (monthly meets) or 3 months (weekly meets) you can pay a one-off affiliation fee of £60 that will then entitle you to lower room hire rates for all rooms. A 3-month booking gap will close the affiliation.
