The creators of Zentangle, Rick & Maria, say “The Zentangle method is an easy to learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns which are called ‘Tangles’ “. When attending a class with a Certified Zentangle Teacher, called a CZT, you will be shown how to create ‘Tangles’ using very basic shapes which everybody can draw onto Tiles, which are small pieces of paper. By focusing on one stroke of the pen at a time you will slow down and focus on drawing the ‘Tangles’. During this class each student will be shown the process from start to finish and will take home their own Tiles to display. If you need to free up and paint in a bolder style, this is the course for you! Use vibrant acrylic paints and large brushes to create an underpainting, and then enhance the work using mixed media with wax and oil pastels. Bought a Sewing machine during COVID lockdown and need some help to make the most of it? Try this basic class in July and follow up learning how to make clothes, starting with a simple pair of trousers over 5 weeks in September: Trousers Sew-Along.Get 10% off the Trousers Sew-Along course starting September if you attend this class! Ease back into sewing or if you want to start afresh with this easy and satisfying soft, lined tie-top bag. The pattern is really a blank canvas for other textile techniques you can try out as well as a great stash buster item. Your tutor will supply the bag pattern & participants are given requirements list upon enrolment. First hour will be a refresh/review of everyone's sewing machine and any particular queries. NO REPAIRS/MAINTENANCE CAN BE DONE. Next two hours we will cut out & sew up the bag. Materials Required: -Sewing machine with leads, and included accessories plus manual if available. -Amounts based on 45 inch wide fabric. Medium weight quilting cottons are good. Don’t choose furnishing fabrics for this project.
