With David Pasfield
Relaxed learning about and practise of watercolour skills.
About David Pasfield:
l have been painting for most of my life and other than GCE level at Secondary School, I have had no formal training.
Watercolours and acrylics are my preferred mediums although I did initially start painting in oils. I also enjoy using mixed media and have recently taken to producing collage works using paper and acrylics. I obtain inspiration from most landscapes and invariably sketch on location returning home to produce finished work. Keen to use a vivid
colour palette, I rarely use earth colours in my work.
I have painted in many areas of the UK including Cornwall, Cotswolds, Norfolk, Suffolk and the Highlands of Scotland. However, I still return to my home area in Essex to find suitable locations often on days out in the surrounding countryside.
l have been a member of Braintree Arts Society for many years and now have the chair responsibility and often lead watercolour workshops at the society. In the last few years I have demonstrated at local groups and gained much experience in this field. I am also a member of Dunmow Art Group.
Previous solo exhibitions:
Braintree Library, including the inaugural exhibition at the Dome
Gallery.
Witham Library.
The Quay Theatre, Sudbury.
Civil Service Club, London.
Recent exhibitions at my own home and garden in 2011,2012 and 2015.
I also exhibit with local Art Groups during the year.
