Braintree Open Online 2020 Logo

Submissions accepted throughout August & September 2020

As we were unable to go ahead with the planned exhibition this year, we are instead having our first online exhibition. The artworks will be displayed in an online gallery on our Facebook page and on the Arts Hub of our website.

There are no entry fees or prizes, but we hope this will help tide our artists over to next year when we will hopefully be able to resume the usual annual “physical” exhibitions again, and will grant us the opportunity to see what everyone has been up to creatively over the past few months!

2D or 3D work in any media is welcomed so long as it is your original work and is legal, decent and honest. We reserve the right not to display any work that we feel does not meet these criteria. Each artist can submit up to three artworks. Artists should be at least 16 years old to take part – if you are under 16 and would like to have a chance to take part in a similar event for under-16s in the future, please let us know as this is something we would like to offer.

If your work is for sale, you can name a price and how you would like customers to contact you (social media profile, online store, email etc). If you do make a sale as a result, we would greatly appreciate a donation to help support future events like this.

Please provide good quality images of your work – we recommend taking 2D artworks out of glazed frames to photograph them to avoid glare obscuring the image. The file uploader on the submission form can only accept images up to 1mb in size – if your image is any bigger than this you can instead email your submission to info@braintreecommunitycentre.org.uk – please ensure you include all the necessary details requested on the form.

Submissions will be accepted throughout August and September 2020, and the exhibition will “open” in early October. Please spread the word, and we look forward to sharing your work!
