Open Art Gallery

The Braintree Open Art Gallery 2019 is now online! Find it on our Facebook page or on our Arts hub. You can see all of the artworks that were a part of the Braintree Open Art Exhibition 2019, which ran from 19th to 20th October. Congratulations to all of the artists, and thank you for taking part! New Prices from 28th October 2019

From Monday 28th October, new room hire and class charges will come into effect. We’ve tried to retain our current prices for as long as possible, but as costs rise we do have to increase our fees to be able to continue to offer our current standard of facilities and services. The standard class fee will be £7.50, but you can save money by taking advantage of our block booking deal which will be £40 for 6 weeks of classes. Reducing for Good

Thank you to George Yard Shopping Centre and everyone who donated books for recycling last month as part of George Yard’s “Reducing for Good” initiative. ♻️ Each month in 2019 George Yard is collecting a different recyclable item to benefit a local charity, and in March they collected books to benefit Braintree Community Centre! ???? This month they are collecting phones in aid of Farleigh Hospice. If you have any old phones to donate you can put them in the box under the Bandstand at George Yard or take them to the Management Suite. ????

The Zentangle method is an easy to learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns which are called ‘Tangles’. Mandalas can be used to help to look inwards and connect to our inner balance. There is no right or wrong way to create a Mandala so the art form appeals to all ages and abilities.
