Practical Sewing Skills: UFO (Un-Finished Objects) & Festive Fripperies

01 December 2021 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

With Karen Odinga

Have a few loose ends from our previous sewing sessions?  Bring along any unfinished business and get it completed in a relaxed, festive atmosphere. Plus, there will be a few quick, little sewing projects available to get you in the holiday spirit. Even if you just want to use the time to catch up on a past project, patterns for the little festive projects will be available to all. Maybe I’ll remember to bring some mince pies as well.

Requirements for catch up session:

  • Machine with accessories, leads and manual
  • Your project (if putting on the finishing touches for the session) plus any threads & materials to accompany it.
  • Usual sewing kit to include sewing needles, tape measure, dressmaker’s pins, dressmaking scissors plus any other bits you have collected as part of your kit.

Requirements for Christmas Fripperies things:

From your stash (don’t buy anything-just bring what you have) Anything interesting in small quantities to include:

  • Fabric scraps
  • Beads, charms, broken jewellery bits, sequins, lace, trims etc.

I’ll bring along my bag of oddments too.
