Thank you to George Yard Shopping Centre and everyone who donated books for recycling last month as part of George Yard’s “Reducing for Good” initiative. ♻️
Each month in 2019 George Yard is collecting a different recyclable item to benefit a local charity, and in March they collected books to benefit Braintree Community Centre! 📚
This month they are collecting phones in aid of Farleigh Hospice. If you have any old phones to donate you can put them in the box under the Bandstand at George Yard or take them to the Management Suite. 📱
The Zentangle method is an easy to learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns which are called ‘Tangles’.
Mandalas can be used to help to look inwards and connect to our inner balance. There is no right or wrong way to create a Mandala so the art form appeals to all ages and abilities.
Both Zentangle and Mandala art can assist with mindfulness, aid focus, and help you to be calm and relaxed.

This September, our very own Warren will be jumping out of a plane to raise money for a computer suite at the Community Centre. We’ve encouraged him to take a parachute as we’d quite like him back afterwards!
You can sponsor him here:
Any amount you can spare would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
All tutors, students, organisations and users are invited to attend Braintree & Bocking Community Association’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 11th July at 6.30pm.

We hope to see you there!
